R.J. will support the creation of an online fact checking site where city staff will post information debunking and/or validating the truth of statements or rumors that are circulating about city operations or policies.

Members of the public have noted, even in council chambers, that owners of ground level parking lots in the city center pay taxes not on the value of their land but on the income their lots generate. Seniors who hear this may expect that their municipal taxes should be based on their lower pension level incomes rather than on the current market value of their property.
